In the Captivity of Besieged Castle, or An Apologia for Sinful Beaurocracy 

This paper was conceived as the introduction to a book on the sources and mystery of totalitarian power. The book, for personal reasons, has never been published, while some of its chapters appeared as separate articles in different journals. Regrettably, the topics being discussed there have not become obsolete. Therefore I incline to return to the manuscript and carry it to publication. In the meantime the reader can familiarize himself with the text only piecemeal.
