The Breath of Times. II. How Hew Ideas Get Adopted

How can get in the age’s consciousness those new ideas that don’t blend with the conceptual background? On the one hand it isn’t quite homogeneous. There latently are mated various and even polar tendencies. Clashing against each other, they make cracks through which new ideas insensibly slip. On the other hand, the opposition of conceptual background to new idea gets overcome or at least mitigated by finding th intermediate links that chill out their interrelations. As a result, some local reconstruction of the conceptual background from the standpoint of the new idea (“sly” obedience) occurs what paves the way for the latter’s assimilation. Elsewise it inevitably remains fruitless and doomed to be forced out to the roadside of mental development, as a phantasm of creative consciousness.
