The Nature of Question in Its Classical Perspective. I. From Eristic to Maieutic

For the first time in the literature on logic and epistemology, is demonstrated the inner logic of the rise and early development of the doctrines on question . The grounds for the conversion of question into one of the main instruments of rhetoric and cognition are scrutinized. The author investigates in details the conceptual roots and orientation of Socratic talk.
